Abstract:
The introduction of nanosized pollutants in the natural environment is termed as Nanopluution or Nanocontamiation. Parallel to the growth of nanotechnology in every sphere of life, Nano contamination has also increased. It affects every aspect of our life especially plants and animals. It is an interdisciplinary field and it is very important to tackle this problem. For that we need trained personnel in this field. Unfortunately, there is a real shortage of any significant teaching strategies in the curriculum that can deal with the multidisciplinary character of this subject. This module is a small step in this direction. There has been very little study of effect of nanoparticles on plants. Keeping this in mind, the students were trained in preparation of silver nanoparticles, preparation of MS (Murashige and Skoog’s) nutrient medium, incorporation of silver NPs (Nanoparticles) into the nutrient medium, sterilization of seeds, culture conditions, in vitro studies, transfer of plantlets to soil and in silico studies.

INTRODUCTION:
Nanotechnology is progressing leaps and bounds and its impact on society, industry and science in general is unprecedented. It includes a variety of subjects such as chemical sciences, material science, physical sciences, engineering, biological sciences, and medicine. This ever evolving area is rapidly growing in industry and research. This has led to a need of fostering it at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The need for teaching strategies for the integration of nanotechnology into the curriculum has been recognized in engineering and science education due to its multidisciplinary nature [1a]. Nano pollution is a generic name for waste generated by nanodevices or during the nanomaterials manufacturing process. Ecotoxicological impacts of nanoparticles and the potential for bioaccumulation in plants and microorganisms is a subject of current research, as nanoparticles are considered to present novel environmental impacts [1b].

Enrichment of CNG in Gasoline Blends- A Technical Review

Author : Ritesh Kumar Ranjan

College Name :L. D. College of Engineering

Abstract— Pollution from the petroleum oil increases day by day in terms of CO2, CO, NOX, PM and many other gases and particles. Price difference and economy leads people toward the use of alternative fuels. To overcome this problem Tri-fuel is the best suitable fuel for the IC engine because of its clean emission characteristics. The present study focused on non-petroleum renewable and nonpolluting fuels to be used for I.C engines. The tri-fuel is assortment of petrol, butanol blend and CNG gas. It is found that power produced by the Tri-fuelled engine is more and lower NOx emissions compare to Gasoline engine because of the high volumetric efficiency, high compression ratio.

Keywords: CNG Gas, I.C Engines, Gasoline Blend

I. INTRODUCTION

The use of fossil fuel is increasing drastically due to its consumption in all consumer activities. The high utility of fossil fuel depleted its existence, degraded the environment and led to reduction in underground carbon resources. Hence the search for alternative fuels is paying attention for making, sustainable development, energy conservation, efficiency and environmental preservation, has become highly pronounced now a days. The worldwide reduction of underground carbon resources can be substituted by the biofuels. The SI and CI engines are the major contributors of the GHG. The main researchers around the world are finding the alternate fuel that should have the least impact on the environmental degradation. Rudolf Diesel patented an engine design for used dual fuel system. The present fuel system involves the adaptation of Rudolf with diesel as a single fuel. The emission of NOX is unavoidable in fuel combustion systems. An attempt has been made to develop a tri fuel system without additives in conventional C.I engines to achieve biofuel and to reduce emission of Pollutants.

II. FORMULATION OF NOVEL BIO BASED TRI FUEL FOR I.C. ENGINES

D.Kumaran, M.Rajendran, P.A.Jeeva, S.Karthikeyan[1] studied on non-petroleum renewable and non-polluting fuels to be used for I.C engines. The tri-fuel is assortment of diesel, turpentine blend and acetylene gas. The acetylene gas is produced from the lime stone (CaCO3) and the turpentine oil obtained from the pine tree. The performance of a tri-fuel has been analyzed experimentally in a single cylinder direct injection and compression ignition engine with diesel and turpentine blend as primary fuel and acetylene inducted as secondary gaseous fuel i.e., diesel and the turpentine blend (40% turpentine(40T) and 60% diesel) . The results showed that the blend and the acetylene gas flow rate of 3 liters per minute (through a gas flow meter) offered higher brake thermal efficiency between 1% and 3% than that of diesel baseline operation. Tri-fuel concept(acetylene aspiration in let manifold up to 3 lpm and mixing of turpentine with diesel fuel up to 40%) for brake thermal efficiency increased by 1-3 % from the standard fuel. It exhibited lower exhaust gas temperature compared with diesel operation. An appreciable reduction in HC,CO and cylinder pressure and rate of pressure raise, when gas is inducted.CO2 emissions was observed in Tri fuel concept with increased engine performance without much worsening its emission.

III. TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY STUDY OF BUTANOL GASOLINE BLENDS

Suraj Bhan Singh, Atul Dhar, Avinash Kumar Agarwal[2] considered butanol as the most promising alternative fuel candidate because of its favorable chemical and physical properties, which are quite similar to gasoline. Butanol is completely miscible with gasoline in any proportion and forms a stable blend.....

What is Image Processing?
Image processing is a method to convert an image into digital form and perform some operations on it, in order to get an enhanced image or to extract some useful information from it. It is a type of signal dispensation in which input is image, like video frame or photograph and output may be image or characteristics associated with that image. Usually Image Processingsystem includes treating images as two dimensional signals while applying already set signal processing methods to them.
It is among rapidly growing technologies today, with its applications in various aspects of a business. Image Processing forms core research area within engineering and computer science disciplines too.Image processing usually refers to digital image processing, but optical and analog image processing also are possible.
Analog or visual techniques of image processing can be used for the hard copies like printouts and photographs. Image analysts use various fundamentals of interpretation while using these visual techniques. The image processing is not just confined to area that has to be studied but on knowledge of analyst. Association is another important tool in image processing through visual techniques. So analysts apply a combination of personal knowledge and collateral data to image processing.
Digital Processing techniques help in manipulation of the digital images by using computers. As raw data from imaging sensors from satellite platform contains deficiencies. To get over such flaws and to get originality of information, it has to undergo various phases of processing. A Review on Design & Analysis Of C-Frame of Pneumatic Power Press Using FEA

Abstract :
Presses are used in industries for a wide variety of uses including blanking, piercing and pressing. There are many different types of presses. The most popular are pneumatic presses and hydraulic presses. Pneumatic presses are 10 times faster than hydraulic presses and they can perform many jobs faster and more efficiently. Metal forming is one of the manufacturing processes which are almost chip less. These operations are mainly carried out by the help of presses and press tools. These operations include deformation of metal work pieces to the desired size by applying pressure or force. Press machine always works under impact load condition. Because of continuous impact the load, frame of press machine always experience continuous tensile stress.

#ijsrd What is an electronic journal ?

What is an electronic journal?

An electronic journal is a periodical publication which is published in electronic format, usually on the Internet.
Electronic journals have several advantages over traditional printed journals:
  1. You can search the contents pages and/or the full text of journals to find articles on a certain subject.
  2. You can read journal articles on your desktop, you don't have to be in the Library.
  3. You can e-mail articles to yourself or download them for printing.
  4. The article that you want to read will always be available, even when the Library is closed.
  5. Hypertext links allow you to move to different sections within individual journals or articles and can link you to related resources on the Internet.
  6. Journals can include more images and audio-visual material.
  7. Journals can be interactive - you can e-mail the author or editor with your comments.
Many electronic journals which are available are electronic versions of journals which exist in print. For example, if you wanted to see the journal called "Man" this journal is available physically on Level F in the Library, but is also available to SOAS users in electronic format.
Some journals are only available in electronic format and although some of these journals are of a high "academic" quality, please be aware that not all of them have gone through the same process of academic peer review as traditional print journals.

When Big Data Is Watching You

Originally posted on TechCrunch:

Is the answer to our feeble human minds needing to grapple with increasing quantities of big data to stand in a purpose built room immersed in complex data visualisations while wearing an array of sensors that track our physiological reactions? A group of European Commission-backed scientists believe so.
They’re attempting to quantify — and, they claim, enhance — cognition by building a sensor-based data visualisation system that dynamically changes the complexity level of the data on display in response to human triggers, such as gestures, eye movements and heart rate.
The basic concept underpinning this research, which has attracted €6.5 million in European Union funding under the Future and Emerging Technologies Scheme, is that a data display system can be more effective if it is sensitive to the human interacting with it, enabling it to modify what’s on display based on tracking and reacting to human stress signifiers.
The project is called CEEDS — aka Collective Experience of Empathetic Data Systems — and involves a...
